Due to unexpected life events, Amy’s Learning Nest is not able to offer any math, English, or sewing classes this spring. We apologize for any inconvenience, and share in your disappointment.

We hope to offer some 1-day master classes, and other group workshops in collaboration with Seekna Company in the summer and fall. Follow their Facebook page to stay updated on the upcoming events.

I love beginnings! That’s one of the reasons I started Amy’s Learning Nest, so I could do more of what I love: equipping learners with the foundational facts and the essential skills they need to confidently, fluently, and creatively use language, math, or sewing. Mastery of these facts and skills gives them the critical foundation needed to then wield those core facts and skills successfully and creatively in their daily life, work, and creative pursuits.

I offer tutoring classes to equip learners in language, math, or sewing by:

explicitly teaching foundational facts during Feather Builders.
systematically practicing essential skills during Wing Stretchers.
regularly recording applications and discoveries during Flight Folio time.

English Essentials Tutoring

Goal: To give you the what’s and how’s of writing and reading so you can confidently and creatively utilize the richness of our English language to express your own ideas to others and to understand and interact with the written/spoken ideas of others.

Sewing Essentials Tutoring

Goal: To give you the what’s and how’s of hand sewing so you can soar into a lifetime of creativity with energizing clarity applied to an endless variety of projects!

Math Essentials Tutoring

Goal: To give you the what’s and how’s of math language, patterns, and skills so you can approach all of the math that you encounter daily with confidence and ease.

Learning Nest: n. A place for "fledglings” to learn the foundational facts and practice the essential skills of language, math, and/or sewing. Mastery of these facts and skills enables them to take off and excel (in these areas) with more confidence, clarity, and creativity.
